![]() If I had the know-how, I'd download it to Youtube so everyone could watch it. Baseline set-ups for DIRT are as follows. My wife videoed all of their races with a VHS camera that weekend, and I recently had it converted to a DVD. Our recommended settings for toe are 0 on the RF and 1/16 toe out on the LF. Most of the Super Karts were turning lap times around the long track quicker than the stock cars were getting around the short one. By the time that a kart comes back to the pits, it was more dependent on which direction of a turn they had last gone through than the actual setup of the kart. The stock cars didn't use the boot section of the track - which adds about another mile - but the karts did. As he was looking over the data he showed us how much tire temperature changes through even a single turn. Hitting 150+ MPH on the straights, they were impressive! The most mind-boggling thing for us was the fact that NASCAR had their first race at The Glen a few weeks before the enduro. Those guys have gotta be out of their minds to drive those things! Most were running a 250cc Rotax engine with a six speed trans they built for road racing motorcycles. At that time WKA had just made a class for Super Karts. I ran in the sprint kart class that year. My only exposure to Super Karts was at an enduro event at Watkins Glen around '84/'85-ish. I believe the lap record (outright) for Blackhawk Farms was set by a superkart about three years ago.Īre they dead? I don’t think I’d judge it by a single event, some are well attended and some are not, they tend to try to pick events as a group. To match a twin cylinder superkart on speed you need a slicks and wings single seater and you are not getting into to one of those for anywhere near that price. Good used examples can be found for anything between 700. They are not “cheap”, but like most karts, they are great value on a dollar for speed ratio compared to cars. ![]() The kart chassis are a lot different to anything else and definitely take someone with some mechanical knowledgeĪs for cost, it’s all relative. ![]() I got really frustrated playing Landrush because I couldnt control any of the vehicle types. Its probably fairly obvious to most if you played Dirt Rally, but for some reason I just refused to look into tuning setups when I started Dirt 4. To adjust the caster, replace the neutral upper bushing with a bushing of one or two degrees. 4 degrees, if the device is also used on the lower part. Naturally a well setup twin will beat a well setup single on any given day. Tip: If you cant control your car, mess with the tuning set up. The CCS guarantees adjustments up to 2 degrees positive and 2 degrees negative. Some run single cylinder moto, some have moto bases with superkart specific cylinders and/or gearboxes, some run twin cylinders and lastly you’ll see an occasional CRF450. Races are very spread out, as are racers. Supers have always been hard to get a good grid of in the US from what I have seen. You talk about the attitude of one guy yet in the same breath you’re talking #t about the other drivers. I think the irony in your position here escapes you Paul.
